Job Summary:



Growing demand at one of the country's most prestigious General Internal Medicine programs has resulted in an exciting faculty position. The Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the University of Colorado Hospital seek a clinician-educator for a unique opportunity with an institution transforming education, science, medicine, and healthcare. The incoming faculty member will join an innovative, high-touch clinic established seven years ago to serve individuals who impact the Anschutz Medical Campus both strategically and philanthropically. The program generates significant philanthropy annually. The successful candidate will work at the renowned Anschutz Medical Campus and a nearby satellite clinic. Qualified candidates must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and understand that they are representing both the hospital and school and be able to translate that into best practice.They will join a care team of professionals and be instrumental in continuing the development of a premier program.

Instructor:



  • MD

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.

  • Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date

  • Five (5) or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician


Senior Instructor:



  • MD

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.

  • Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date

  • Six (6) or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician


Tenured Track


Assistant Professor:



  • MD

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.

  • Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date

  • Five (5) or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician


*Associate Professor:



  • MD

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.

  • Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date

  • Seven (7) or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician-educator

  • Rank of Associate Professor, or equivalent, already attained at a prior academic institution


*Professor:



  • MD

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

  • Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date

  • Fourteen (14) or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician-educator

  • Rank of Professor, or equivalent, already attained at a prior academic institution


*School of Medicine faculty appointed to the level of Associate Professor or Professor are subject to review and approval of the School of Medicine Faculty Promotions Committee and the Executive Committee. The term "visiting" will be used in the faculty member's title (e.g., "Visiting Associate Professor" and "Visiting Professor") until the dossier has been approved by these committees.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Current DEA by employment start date.

  • Six (6) or more years' experience as an MD


    • Fellowship experience will be considered under years' experience

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
