Job summary

The Nidy Sports Construction Company in Longwood, FL is seeking a dependable Paver Roller to join our field operations. You will operate rollers to ensure asphalt surfaces are properly compacted and finished to project specs.

Responsibilities include operating rollers, inspecting equipment, maintaining safety, and supporting the paving crew on site. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a roller or similar heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving and compaction practices.
• Able to safely operate equipment and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate vibratory and static rollers safely and efficiently.
• Compact asphalt, aggregate, and other paving materials to required specifications.
• Follow directions from the paving foreman and equipment operators.
• Monitor the surface for proper grade, smoothness, and compaction.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain safe working distances from other equipment and crew members.
• Assist the paving crew with general job-site duties when needed.
• Keep equipment clean and properly maintained.
• Follow all company safety policies and job-site procedures.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
