We are looking for an experienced Paver Operator who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in completing jobs safely and efficiently.

Summary

Drives and operates pavers, as well as machinery such as backhoes, grinders, graders, lowboys, rollers, jackhammers, compressors, and trucks. Performs activities like moving material, leveling, grading, and paving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including driving.
• Check equipment daily for oil, fluid levels, damage, and wear; fuel equipment daily.
• Adjust machine speed and direction based on material compressibility and temperature conditions.
• Understand paving industry standards, including prep work, grades, drainage, patterns, aggregate, and compaction.
• Report damages or repairs needed to mechanics promptly.
• Complete daily equipment checklists.
• Load and unload equipment, ensuring proper securing.
• Clean equipment after each job.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Perform general labor tasks such as driving, shoveling, raking, rolling, and flagging as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Ability to follow traffic regulations.
• Teamwork skills.
• Availability to work weekends and occasional nights.
• Ability to travel to various worksites.
• Willingness to work long hours in all weather conditions.
