Job summary

ViaSun Corporation is seeking a Preservation Material Applicator to apply sealcoat, slurry, and other preservation materials safely and to high-quality standards on active construction sites.

This field-based role emphasizes proper application techniques, safe work zones, and teamwork, with opportunities to grow within an ESOP-owned company that values safety, quality, and reliable crew performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in pavement preservation, construction labor, or a related field preferred
• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Apply sealcoat, slurry, and other preservation materials using appropriate tools and techniques
• Ensure consistent coverage, proper thickness, and high-quality application
• Monitor material conditions and adjust application methods as needed
• Perform surface preparation tasks, including cleaning, edging, and minor repairs
• Conduct routine equipment checks and basic maintenance to ensure proper operation
• Assist with loading, unloading, and handling materials, tools, and equipment
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at the end of each shift
• Maintain safe work zones in accordance with traffic control plans
• Follow all flagging procedures and safety protocols to protect crew members and the public
• Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with crew members, equipment operators, and supervisors
