Job summary

AWP Safety in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Pavement Marking Specialist to perform the full pavement marking process, including driving and operating Thermoplastic Equipment. Responsibilities include operating hand machines and forklifts, loading materials, interpreting blueprints, and installing Preformed Thermoplastic and other markings on asphalt and concrete.

This physically demanding role requires willingness to work evenings and weekends, lifting up to 50 pounds, complying with MUTCD

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED completion.
Must be able to connect with field-level customers and contacts.
Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
Must adhere to and promote safe workplace practices.
Understand installation methods, materials, and safety measures.
Ability to operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Operate hand machines, forklift, hand grinder, Thermo hand liner, adhesive applicator tools, and pavement painting equipment.
Transport materials to job sites using heavy duty trucks and tow trailers.
Operate jack hammers, coring machines, and augers.
Read and understand blueprints and project plans.
Maintain and repair striping equipment for asphalt and concrete.
Assist with laying Preformed Thermoplastic and other markings.
Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers by hand and forklift.
Understand MUTCD requirements and city specs.
Assist with painting and thermoplastic application.
Set up and take down traffic control signs at job sites.
Complete DVIRs and Daily Logs for drivers.
