Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC in Springfield, MO is seeking a Pavement Marking Removal Truck Operator for a full-time, in-person role. You will operate water blasting trucks and removal equipment, coordinate with the Striping Manager, and perform site setup, inspections, and documentation to meet project specs.

Qualified candidates have proven experience with water blasting trucks, knowledge of pavement marking removal, and the ability to read plans and measure accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate water blasting trucks and removal equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work with Striping Manager to meet schedule and specs.
• Remove pavement markings from roadways and parking lots.
• Assist with project setup, layout verification, and traffic control.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Monitor water pressure systems, pumps, hoses, nozzles, and recovery systems.
• Load/unload equipment and traffic control devices.
• Maintain equipment logs and daily project reports.
• Identify and report equipment issues or safety concerns.
• Adhere to all safety policies, DOT regulations, and OSHA standards.
• Assist striping crews and other field operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidates must have hands-on experience with:

• Water blaster truck operation

What You’ll Do

• Operate water blasting trucks and pavement marking removal equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work directly with the Striping Manager to complete projects according to schedule and specifications.
• Remove pavement markings including paint, thermoplastic, epoxy, tape, symbols, arrows, and legends from roadways and parking lots.
• Assist with project setup, layout verification, and traffic control operations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on equipment.
• Monitor water pressure systems, pumps, hoses, nozzles, and recovery systems during operation.
• Load and unload equipment, materials, and traffic control devices.
• Maintain equipment logs, daily reports, and project documentation.
• Identify and report equipment issues or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and OSHA standards.
• Assist striping crews and other field operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
