Job summary

Highway Signing Inc. is seeking a dependable Equipment Operator to join our Pavement Markings team. You will operate pavement-marking trucks and related equipment to apply durable roadway markings on highways, streets, and other projects.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with large equipment as part of a roadway construction crew. CDL and driving experience are valued, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment in the field.
• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a crew.
• Ability to follow project plans, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Experience with heavy equipment or pavement-marking systems is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and road conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a pavement-marking truck and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Apply pavement markings according to project plans, specifications, and DOT requirements.
• Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust pavement-marking equipment during application.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment and application issues in the field.
• Load and handle pavement-marking materials and supplies.
• Assist with equipment setup, cleanup, and preparation between projects.
• Maintain accurate material and project records as required.
• Follow all company, DOT, and jobsite safety procedures.
• Work closely with crew members, supervisors, and other operators to complete projects safely and on schedule.
• Assist with other pavement-marking and construction duties as needed.
