Job summary

TRP Construction Group, LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a skilled Pavement Marking CDL A or B Driver to join our highway striping team. You will install thermoplastic and waterborne paints, operate marking equipment, and move crews between job sites.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and adherence to DOT regulations. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, may be required; successful candidates will pass background, MVR, and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating heavy trucks and/or pavement marking equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, maps, and basic arithmetic.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as necessary.
• Ability to pass background check, MVR review, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install pavement marking materials on highway projects as part of the striping crew.
• Operate pavement marking equipment and company vehicles in a safe, DOT-compliant manner.
• Transport equipment and crew to and from job sites.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation.
• Assist with setup and operation of marking equipment as needed.
• Maintain equipment and vehicle cleanliness and proper loading.

• Work with the highway striping crew to install thermoplastic, waterborne paint, and other pavement marking materials.
• Operate pavement marking equipment, including airless paint machines, thermoplastic hand liners, and grinders.
• Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently in compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.
• Transport pavement marking equipment and crew to and from job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete related documentation.
• Assist with setting up and operating pavement marking equipment as needed.
• Maintain equipment and vehicle cleanliness and proper loading.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while on the road and on job sites.

• Monday through Friday schedule, with possible night and weekend shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
