Job summary

City of Rowlett is seeking a skilled supervisor to lead a pavement maintenance crew, plan projects, and oversee repairs of streets and drainage.

You will drive city vehicles, operate heavy equipment, read grades, set stakes, and train staff. Must hold Texas Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement and a Class C Water Distribution License. Regular attendance and safety are essential; on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Texas Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement.
• Must have and maintain a good driving record.
• Minimum High School diploma or GED with 3 years related street/maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral/written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a small crew in pavement repair and maintenance.
• Plans, organizes projects and coordinates daily work orders.
• Operates city vehicles and heavy equipment; uses hand and power tools.
• Maintains records, reports, logs and inventory.
• Ensures safety and compliance with department policies.
• Responds to emergencies and on-call requirements.
