Job summary

The Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) is hiring a Research Assistant to support rapid laboratory and field research efforts at the Bryan, TX campus. You will assist in designing, planning, and executing pavement analytics studies, including data collection, sensor installation, and software-augmented data processing.

This role demands flexibility for fieldwork and occasional after-hours activity. Preferred candidates hold an engineering degree and have exposure to Python, MATLAB, Abaqus,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field required.
• No work experience required.
• Knowledge of Python, Abaqus, MATLAB, and VBA.

Responsibilities

• Fieldwork travels and data collection.
• Equipment installation in the field, sensor setup, site checks, and removal.
• Assist in design, planning, scheduling, and coordinating laboratory and field experiments.
• Program coding and software development for data processing, analysis and QC.
• Data analysis, reporting and documentation; ensure data quality.
