Job summary

American Rock Products, a CRH company, is seeking a Pave Crew Laborer in Wapato, WA to support asphalt paving operations. You will assist the crew with preparing, grading and paving, working outdoors and operating various equipment.

Training is provided for those with limited experience, with opportunities for growth and internal promotion. The role offers a wage range of $20–$22 per hour DOE, with potential overtime and prevailing wage opportunities.

Qualifications

• Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance and punctuality.
• Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
• Conform to OSHA, MSHA, DOT and related rules and regulations.
• Must have valid US work authorization and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Shovel, rake and compact materials in grade and pave operations.
• Operate asphalt saw, concrete saw, chain saw and other power tools to remove asphalt and debris.
• Traffic control, including flagging and set-up of signs, cones and barriers.
• Operate water truck, oil distributors and other equipment as instructed.
• Perform underground adjustments (manholes, catch basins).
• Measure, mark, paint and stake per measurements for grade and pave operations.
• Load, unload from work truck and clean tools and equipment as needed.
• Routinely assist other members of the work force in different areas of production.
