Job summary

A leading NDT services provider is hiring a Level II PAUT Technician who is willing to travel throughout the U.S. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, conducting tests with Phased Array technique, and interpreting results. Candidates must have graduated from a specialized NDT program and have prior certification as a UTSW NDE Level II with experience. A driver's license and TWIC are required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Prior certification as UTSW NDE Level II with one year experience.
  • Familiar with codes and standards applicable to the method.
  • Must have TWIC and a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Description

Mistras is now hiring Level II PAUT Technicians willing to travel throughout the U.S. to cover projects and turnarounds as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and calibrate equipment.
  • Conduct tests with the appropriate NDT technique: Phased Array.
  • Interpret, evaluate and document results.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I personnel.
  • Be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.
Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for PAUT.
  • Prior certification as a UTSW NDE Level II with one (1) year experience or prior certification as Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on all or one of the following: Phased Array, UTSW.
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • TWIC.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • To perform the job successfully, demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position: Problem Solving; Oral Communication; Written Communication; Interpersonal Skills; Planning / Organization; Adaptability; Dependability; Quality; Safety.
Essential Physical Functions
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 55 pounds.
