Job summary

XCEL NDT is seeking a Level II PAUT Technician with UTSW prerequisites to perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations in Tulsa, OK. You will set up equipment, interpret results, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of NDT methods and the ability to train Assistants and Level I Technicians, while maintaining accurate records and reporting test outcomes to management.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II PAUT certification is mandatory.
• Additional NDT Level II certifications in RT, MT, PT and/or UTT preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate PAUT and other nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality and detect discontinuities per approved methods.
• Establish proper examination techniques in line with safety regulations.
• Apply inspection criteria per specifications and evaluate results.
• Interpret readings from digital displays, radiographs, conductivity meters and other indicators.
• Organize, document and report test results accurately.
• Provide training and supervision to Assistants and Level I Technicians.
