Paul Saw Operator (Frames - 1st Shift) (Manufacturing)

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Paul Saw Operator is responsible for inspecting the quality of incoming material, marking defects in frame stock according to company standards, and data entry related to daily material use. The role also includes preventive maintenance and housekeeping tasks.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Review daily schedules for sequences and wood species used.
  • Perform visual inspection and grading of material stock to ensure quality standards.
  • Complete daily preventive maintenance tasks as per company standards.
  • Execute work orders fully and in sequence according to schedule.
  • Lead by example regarding attendance, PPE requirements, breaks, and drive compliance across all areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Frames Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to perform data entry tasks electronically and manually.
  • Ability to distinguish wood species, colors, and finishes.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a measuring tape.
  • Strong sense of urgency to complete daily duties efficiently.
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Factory environment involving some heavy lifting, with areas requiring eye and hearing protection.
