Artful Home is seeking a Patternmaker to bring women’s apparel designs from first pattern to production-ready. You’ll create, revise, and finalize patterns for knit and woven styles, ensuring precise fit and on-time delivery.

You’ll collaborate with the product development team, work in Gerber, and translate tech packs into accurate patterns for sampling and production while maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on patternmaking and revision experience in women’s apparel (knits and wovens).
• Proficiency with Gerber patternmaking software required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Excel.
• Sharp attention to detail to spot issues before cutting.
• Ability to juggle multiple styles and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create first patterns and pattern cards digitally in Gerber, working from tech packs and specs.
• Revise patterns based on fit notes to dial in fit across knit and woven styles.
• Finalize sample patterns and prepare them for marking and grading.
• Cut fabric accurately to patterns to keep the sample queue moving.
• Prepare fully graded patterns for photo samples and production, and build markers based on production orders.

Description

Artful Home is looking for a Patternmaker to bring our women’s apparel designs to life, from first pattern to production-ready. If you’re detail-obsessed, fluent in Gerber, and love the precision of getting the fit just right, we want to hear from you.

You’ll be the backbone of our sample process. Creating, revising, and finalizing patterns for knit and woven styles, while partnering closely with the product development team to make sure every sample is accurate, on-spec, and on time.

What You’ll Do

• Create first patterns and pattern cards digitally in Gerber, working from tech packs and specs
• Revise patterns based on fit notes to dial in fit across knit and woven styles
• Finalize sample patterns and prepare them for marking and grading
• Cut fabric accurately to patterns to keep the sample queue moving
• Prepare fully graded patterns for photo samples and production, and build markers based on production orders

Requirements

• Hands-on patternmaking and revision experience in women’s apparel (knits and wovens)
• Proficiency in recent versions of Gerber patternmaking software required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Excel
• Sharp attention to detail — you catch the off measurement or missing notch before it reaches the cutting table
• Ability to juggle multiple styles and priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and comfort giving and receiving feedback
• Ability to regularly sit, stand, stoop, and handle fabrics, with frequent lifting of up to 10 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs
