Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Whippany, NJ to provide unarmed patrols, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service at a financial institution and other sites.

Responsibilities include interior and exterior patrols, monitoring access points, and reporting incidents. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe personnel, visitor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific access control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, escalating concerns through established channels.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation.
