Job summary

The City of Tullahoma is seeking Police Officers who will serve under shift supervision to protect the public by enforcing laws, responding to emergencies, and maintaining public safety. Officers will investigate incidents, gather evidence, and prepare cases for prosecution while building community relations.

Requirements include a High School diploma (GED acceptable), POST certification preferred, and a minimum age of 21.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; POST certification preferred.
• Minimum age 21 years; no prior criminal activity.
• Meet Tennessee POST requirements for firearms and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Enforce laws and ordinances to protect lives and property.
• Maintain patrol presence to deter crime and ensure safety.
• Investigate suspicious activity and respond to citizen calls.
• Perform preliminary and follow-up investigations of offenses.
• Prepare cases for court and testify as needed.
• Submit timely reports of investigations and actions.
