Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic Peace Officer certification from TCOLE.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow procedures under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls for police service and takes action as needed.
• Serves and arrests suspects on warrants; serves search warrants.
• Interviews witnesses, victims, suspects, and informants to obtain pertinent information.
• Provides assistance and service to the public, e.g., directing traffic.
• Responds to emergencies and performs initial building searches.
• Conducts initial crime scene investigations and preserves evidence.
• Enforces laws and transports violators; testifies in court proceedings.
• Maintains reports and records, including citations and subpoenas.
• Maintains current knowledge of laws and enforcement practices.
• Maintains composure and effective performance under stress.
