Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid KS Driver's License required.
• Ability to obtain KS patrol officer certification.
• Must live within 30 minutes of corporate city limits.
• Waivers may be granted at leaderships' discretion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison to the community and promote public relations.
• Patrol assigned areas and monitor activity for issues and suspicious behavior.
• Conduct traffic and parking enforcement.
• Respond to incidents, notify dispatcher, and take appropriate enforcement actions.
• Provide backup to responding officers and ensure department procedures are followed.
• Establish and maintain communication with the community and other agencies.

Education

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Valid Kansas Driver's License

Ability to obtain State of Kansas patrol officer certification through Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center

Within 6 months of hire, must live within 30 minutes of corporate city limits

Waiver possibility at the discretion of City Manager, Police Chief, or designee
