Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• No felony convictions.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to obtain Massachusetts driver's license and License to Carry Firearms.
• Good moral character.
• In good health and physical condition.
• Successful completion of the police academy.
• Applicants who have completed a full-time police academy are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol Oak Bluffs and surrounding island areas, enforce laws, and protect the public.
• Engage with community, respond to incidents, and complete reports.
• Participate in specialized units and assignments as available (e.g., Motorcycle Unit, Tactical Response Team, Community Outreach).
