The role requires completion of the State Basic Training Academy, TCOLE certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with bilingual abilities preferred. The position is full-time and on-site in South Padre Island, TX.

Qualificações

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with coursework in police science, law enforcement, criminal justice administration, public administration, or a closely related field.
• Two (2) years of related work experience as a sworn police officer or equivalent preferred; or any combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of State Basic Training Academy and TCOLE certification.

Responsabilidades

• Patrol City streets, parks, and other areas to preserve the peace and enforce laws.
• Respond to emergency calls and investigate incidents, accidents, and disturbances.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and prepare cases for court testimony.
• Coordinate with other officers and departments; maintain accurate reports and logs.
