Job summary

Allied Universal in Irvine, CA seeks a full-time Security Guard (Unarmed Vehicle Patrol) to protect residents and visitors at a residential community. You will perform regular patrols, manage access control, and deliver courteous customer service while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential apartment community.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, documenting incidents, observations, and patrol activity in required reports.
• Communicate professionally with property staff, residents, visitors, and emergency responders while following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
