Job summary

The Logan County Sheriff's Office is seeking dedicated Patrol Deputies to serve Logan County by responding to calls, enforcing laws, and maintaining public safety in the community. Deputies provide first response and support across divisions as needed.

Officers will work rotating day and night shifts, with opportunities for advancement, training through CLEET, and benefits including retirement, insurance, paid time off, and take-home vehicle eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver License.
• No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor convictions or pending charges.
• Ability and willingness to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls for service and emergencies.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter crime and provide visible law enforcement presence.
• Conduct preliminary and follow-up investigations as assigned.
• Prepare reports accurately and timely.
• Serve warrants and assist with arrests when needed.
• Testify in court as required.
• Maintain required certifications and equipment.

Job description

The Logan County Sheriff's Office is seeking dedicated and professional individuals to serve as Patrol Deputies. Deputies assigned to the Patrol Division provide law enforcement services throughout Logan County by responding to calls for service, conducting criminal investigations, enforcing traffic laws, maintaining public safety, and building positive relationships within the community. Patrol Deputies are often the first responders to emergencies and play a vital role in protecting the citizens of Logan County.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License.
• Must not have any felony convictions, serious misdemeanor convictions, domestic violence convictions, or pending criminal charges in any state.
• Ability and willingness to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules as required.
• Successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation.
• Pass initial and continued random drug screenings.
• Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities associated with law enforcement operations.
• Be willing to work in the Patrol Division, Judicial Division, and/or Detention Center based on agency needs.
• CLEET certification preferred; non-certified applicants may be considered and must successfully complete all required certification requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to duty on time and prepared for assignment.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter criminal activity and provide avisible law enforcement presence.
• Respond to calls for service, emergencies, traffic collisions, andcriminal incidents.
• Conduct preliminary and follow-up investigations as assigned.
• Prepare reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Serve warrants and assist with criminal apprehensions whennecessary.
• Provide assistance to citizens
• Testify in court as required.
• Maintain all required certifications, training requirements, andassigned equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
