Job summary

Colonial Security Services in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors. You will patrol facilities, monitor surveillance, enforce access control, and respond to alarms and emergencies.

The role requires a valid NC security license, a high school diploma, and strong observation and communication skills. Previous security experience is preferred, and you will document incidents in reports and coordinate with local law enforcement

Qualifications

• Must hold current NC security license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of designated area, both on foot and/or by vehicle, to deter unauthorized access and protect premises.
• Utilize surveillance cameras to observe activity, identify threats, and take action when necessary.
• Enforce security policies including access control, visitor management, and property protection.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies and coordinate appropriate actions.
• Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors, and customers.
• Document security-related activities and incidents in written reports with accuracy.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement as needed to report incidents and assist investigations.
