Job summary

Sierra Lobo, located at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, is seeking a test operations technician to support Patriot Air Defense Missile System testing. You will monitor test operations, ensure SOP compliance, and communicate status to the Test Conductor.

The role requires a technical institute credential or relevant experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and eligibility for a security clearance. Occasional overtime and cross-utilization into other duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a two-year technical institute or three years of progressive field experience.
• Military training and experience with the Patriot Air Defense Missile System will be evaluated as qualifying.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

• Monitor test operations in support of Patriot Air Defense Missile System testing, including radar, launch pad, and missile assembly operations.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor communications net during test operations and report status to the Test Conductor or representative.
• Assist in coordinating test site support including fuel, POL, latrine, water, and setup of ground support equipment.
• Maintain a chronological log of test events and apply knowledge of the Patriot system to perform duties.
