Job summary

Universal Health Services in Denton, TX seeks a Patient Account Representative/Collector to manage billing, follow-up and collections for assigned patient accounts, communicating with patients, insurers and third-party payers to resolve balances.

This full-time role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment, requires about 1 year in healthcare collections and strong Excel skills; reports to the Texas Business Center at 5800 N-I35, Suite 505.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in health care billing/collections preferred.
• Proficient with Excel and basic computer software.

Position Summary

The Texas Business Center, located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is seeking a dynamic and talented Patient Account Representative/Collector. The Patient Account Representative/Collector is responsible for the billing, follow-up, and collection of assigned patient accounts by contacting patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve all outstanding owed balances; works closely with collection agencies for bad debt recovery.

Qualifications

Education

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience

A minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care collections or related field, or any combination of education, training, or experience in a health care business office environment. Experience with insurance billing, computer and business software programs (Excel) preferred.

Additional Requirements

This position may require flexible hours, to include overtime.
