Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a customer-focused Patient Visit Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide a high level of support and customer service for all patients and guests of the practice or program.

Assure that patients who are unfamiliar with the program are personally guided to their destination and provided a "warm hand-off" to the staff. Works directly with the providers to assure proper coordination of care for each patient.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a medical or physician office or comparable healthcare environment.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; coursework in insurance/billing preferred.
• Acts as a point of contact for patient scheduling questions or concerns.
• Supports patient visit through personalized attention to contact, referrals, check-in, check-out, and follow-up.
• Obtains insurance verification and secures authorization required for services provided.
• Maintains patient records and supports day-to-day office operations.
