Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation is seeking a Patient Travel Coordinator to arrange medical travel for patients seen at YKHC in Bethel, AK, and for referrals to Anchorage or Seattle. The role collaborates with the YK Travel team and lodge staff to ensure compliant, timely travel and vouchers.

The position requires strong customer service, organization, and MS Office skills, with a focus on patient advocacy and adherence to Medicaid travel authorization guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Ability to learn and operate multiple computer systems and applications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to type at least 50 wpm.
• Flu shot required pre-hire and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate travel arrangements including air/ground transportation, lodging, and meals for patients and escorts referred for care.
• Determine medically necessary travel and ensure all logistical aspects are completed.
• Collaborate with the YK Travel team and Qavartarvik Lodge staff.
• Adhere to YKHC Travel Rules/Regulations while advocating for patients.
• Inform patients about travel preferences and available services.
