Boston Medical Center South is seeking a patient transporter to join our care team. You will provide prompt, courteous transport for patients, visitors and staff within the hospital, supporting a smooth patient flow and exceptional service.

This part-time role requires 6–12 months of hospital or customer service experience, ability to read/write English, and the physical ability to lift. CPR/BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6–12 months of customer service or hospital experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift without any limitations.

Responsabilités

Position Summary

The Patient Transporter is an integral part of the patient care team providing prompt, courteous, customer-focused service to the patients, visitors, and coworkers of Boston Medical Center. The Patient Transporter is responsible for patient transport within the hospital and for miscellaneous functions as well. He/she contributes to service excellence by fostering collaboration among and between team members as well as other ancillary departments.

Schedule: Part Time, 24 hours, Days Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7am-3:30pm

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred

Experience

• 6-12 Months of customer service or hospital experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required

• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Knowledge And Skills

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to lift without any limitations

Compensation Range

$17.92- $26.63

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
