Boston Medical Center seeks a Patient Transporter to join the Patient Transport team. You will provide prompt, courteous service to patients, visitors and coworkers, assisting with intra-hospital transport and related duties to support care delivery.

This 40-hour, morning shift (7am–3:30pm) offers opportunities to collaborate across departments, uphold safety standards, and contribute to a respectful, patient-centered environment.

Qualifikationen

• 6–12 months of experience in customer service or hospital setting.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families and staff.
• Willingness to follow safety and lifting protocols.

Position Summary

The Patient Transporter is an integral part of the patient care team providing prompt, courteous, customer-focused service to the patients, visitors, and coworkers of Boston Medical Center. The Patient Transporter is responsible for patient transport within the hospital and for miscellaneous functions as well. He/she contributes to service excellence by fostering collaboration among and between team members as well as other ancillary departments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High diploma or GED preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required

• Obtaining and the maintenance of CPR preferred

Experience

• Requires 6-12 months of experience in customer service or hospital experience

Knowledge And Skills

• Requires heavy lifting and pushing, pulling and standing.
• Requires the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate clearly to interact appropriately with nursing staff, patients, families/visitors, physicians, and other hospital staff.
• Work requires demonstrated ability to effectively speak, read, and write English.
• Work requires ability to follow instructions, work independently and efficiently to complete assigned work.

Compensation Range

$17.92- $26.63

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
