Job summary

Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Pemberton Township, NJ is seeking a Transport Team Member to assist the Dispatcher and transport patients, equipment, specimens and records across the Center. You will also stock equipment, replenish O2 tanks and refrigerators, pull linen, and deliver supplies as needed.

We require a High School Diploma or GED and current BCLS certification (within 90 days). This is a full-time, temporary position with starting pay at $17.33 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BCLS certification required within 90 days.
• 0–3 months experience in transport/medical support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, equipment, specimens and patient records throughout the Center.
• Assist with stocking equipment, replenishing nutritional refrigerators and O2 tanks.
• Pull linen using picklists and deliver equipment and supplies; respond to call bells and assist as needed.

Position Summary: Under the instruction of the Dispatcher-transports patients, equipment, specimens and patient records throughout the Center as well as assists the Distribution team members with their responsibilities such as appropriately checking and storing equipment, checking and replenishing nutritional refrigerators, checking and replenishing O2 tanks for the various units, and pulling linen using the appropriate picklists, and delivering equipment and supplies. The transport team member will also assist in responding to call bells when patients are in need of assistance, resolving issues that arise from these tasks as appropriate and involving the Transport Dispatcher of more challenging issues that arise.

Experience: 0-3 Months

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Required License / Credentials: Current BCLS (must be able to have within 90 days)

Contact With Others: Contacts with other departments, patients families and visitors, requiring tact and discretion.

Supervision Received: Reporting directly to the Transport Dispatcher.

Hours: Full-time 80 hours per pay period ***This is a temporary position***

The minimum starting rate for this position is $17.33
