Job summary

TheraDynamics in New York is seeking a Full Patient Transporter to assist staff, transport residents to therapy areas, monitor during exercises, and maintain clean, orderly treatment spaces.

The role emphasizes safety, independent work, and participation in mandatory in-service training; flexible schedules include full-time, part-time, and per diem options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Must be goal oriented and self-motivated.
• Well-organized and detail oriented.
• Exceptional communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with transfer of residents/patients.
• Transport residents and patients to/from therapy areas.
• Monitor residents and patients during exercise routines.
• Assist with setup/cleanup of treatment areas.
• Assist with cleaning and distribution of wheelchairs.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Assist with clerical duties (copying, faxing, filing, answering phones).
• Keep work area neat and orderly.
• Ensure residents' and patients' safety during transport and treatment.

Full Patient Transporter Job Description

• Assistunit staff with transfer of residents/patients as necessary.
• Transportsresidents and patients to/from therapy treatment areas.

• Respondswell to instructions and guidance, finds solutions to work relatedproblems, and completes assignments independently, not requiring constantsupervision.
• Attendsand participates in required and MANDATORY in-service educationalprograms, on the job training programs, etc. as directed and/or scheduled.
