Job summary

TheraDynamics in the Tri-State area is seeking a Full Patient Transporter to assist staff with resident transfers and transport them to therapy areas, while monitoring safety and keeping treatment spaces orderly.

You will support with setup, equipment maintenance, and basic clerical tasks, contributing to a clean, safe, and efficient rehabilitation environment. This role offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, PTO, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be goal oriented, self-motivated and organized.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with transferring residents/patients between areas.
• Transport residents/patients to/from therapy treatment areas.
• Monitor residents/patients during exercise routines.
• Assist with setup/clean-up of treatment areas.
• Maintain equipment and assist with wheelchairs as needed.
• Perform light clerical duties (copying, faxing, filing, phones).
• Keep work area neat, safe, and orderly.
• Ensure safety during transport and in treatment areas.
• Respond to instructions and work independently without constant supervision.
• Attend mandatory in-service trainings as scheduled.

Full Patient Transporter Job Description

• Assist unit staff with transfer of residents/patients as necessary.
• Transports residents and patients to/from therapy treatment areas.
• Monitors residents and patients during exercise routines.
• Assists with set-up/clean-up of treatment areas.
• Assists with the cleaning and distribution of wheelchairs.
• Maintain equipment and make minor repairs.
• Assists with clerical duties (i.e., copying, faxing, filing, answering phones, etc.).
• Keeps work area neat and orderly.
• Maintains residents' and patients' safety during transport and while assisting in treatment area.
• Responds well to instructions and guidance, finds solutions to work related problems, and completes assignments independently, not requiring constant supervision.
• Attends and participates in required and MANDATORY in-service educational programs, on the job training programs, etc. as directed and/or scheduled.
