Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an onsite Patient Transport Associate to move patients, equipment, and supplies within a hospital setting. You will coordinate transportation requests, assist patients in boarding and disembarking, and ensure safety and infection control while handling equipment.

You will collaborate with nurses and physicians to prioritize urgent requests and maintain professional service throughout shifts, typically 40 hours per week on day shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in transportation, preferably healthcare or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients within the healthcare facility. Transport equipment, supplies, and specimens between departments.
• Assist patients with boarding and disembarking from transportation vehicles.
• Handle delicate and sensitive equipment with care and respect.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols while transporting materials.
• Coordinate transportation requests and schedules for timely service.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to prioritize needs and urgent requests.
