Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a transport aide to move patients, equipment, and supplies within the hospital to support patient care. You will help maintain a clean, safe environment and document transports in the department log.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, ensuring availability of items for care, and meeting assigned goals in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 6 months hospital or customer service experience.
• Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
• HS diploma/GED or higher is preferred

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, equipment, and/or supplies throughout hospital to ensure items are available when needed for patient care.
• Maintains a safe and germ free environment for all customers.
• Documents all patient transports on appropriate departmental log.
• Inspects equipment prior to usage to ensure in proper working order.
• Completes assigned goals.
