Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a dependable Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment throughout the hospital and clinics. The role requires no clinical license and offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, with a start rate of $15.25 per hour and higher rates for experienced individuals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.
• No clinical license required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and equipment throughout hospitals and clinics.
• Assist floor staff with patient transfers to and from transport mode.
• Move patients, belongings, and equipment to assigned departments.
• Maintain wheelchair availability and transport equipment in approved locations.
• Identify patients prior to transport and ensure identification bands are present.
• Use the technology system for patient and equipment transports and log delays when needed.
• Adhere to Geisinger Patient Transport/Nursing Handoff Guidelines.
