Job Description:

Patient Transport is an excellent opportunity to begin your career at Baptist Health Louisville. As a Transporter, you will develop interpersonal, professional, and safe patient handling skills necessary for success in any medical career. Patient Transport services nearly every area of the hospital, providing students interested in healthcare a first-hand look at nursing and diagnostic fields. Using EPIC transport tracking and the latest patient movement technology, you will utilize your abilities to assist in patient care. There are opportunities for learning and growth in dispatching, training, and leadership, making Transportation an excellent team to join.

Work Schedule

The Transport Team provides service 24/7. We offer a variety of shifts to fit your schedule:

• Day Shift: start between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
• Mid Shift: start at 3:00 p.m.
• Night Shift: start at 8:30 p.m.

Full-time and part-time positions are available with an every third weekend requirement. PRN positions are available with an every other weekend requirement.

Responsibilities

Perform activities related to transporting patients to and from diagnostic testing, room-to-room transfers, discharges, and admissions as directed by nursing and ancillary departments. Serve the hospital's customer base, including patients, visitors, physician offices, ancillary departments, and nursing units.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital/transport experience desirable.
• Must complete BCLS within 90 days of hire.
