Job summary

Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Patient Transporter. The role involves guiding patients, transporting them within the facility, and handling related duties. Starting rate is $20.52/hr, with variable hours including weekends.

Qualified candidates must have a HS Diploma or GED, be able to read/write/speak English, and lift up to 50 lbs. CPR certification is preferred.

• Delivers messages, mail, medical records, and other items.

Qualifications/Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
• To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat and stands for long periods of time, bends, lifts, pushes and pulls up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 16 or older (prior to hire, must complete NJA300 Combined Certification Form/Working Papers).
• If 16 or 17 years-old valid working papers required.

Relevant Experience

• CPR certification preferred.
