Job summary

Adventist Health Glendale is seeking a per diem Courier Services team member to transport patients, specimens and equipment across the facility. You will greet and assist patients and visitors as directed, helping ensure smooth operations within the hospital.

Friendly, professional individuals with a High School Diploma or GED are needed, with a preferred Associate/Technical degree. BLS certification is required to support patient care and safety standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate/Technical Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains equipment such as wheelchairs and gurneys for next use.
• Assist Nursing Supervisor to ensure smooth workflow of the department.
• Collects and logs lost and found items and patients' belongings.
• Responds to hospital codes and other emergencies as trained.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions

• Cleans and maintains equipment, such as wheelchairs and gurneys and ensures availability for next use.
• Performs other duties as requested by Nursing Supervisor to assist with the smooth workflow of the department.
• Collects, logs and/or returns "lost and found" items and patients’ belongings.
• Responds to hospital code and other emergency responses and situations as trained.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
