Job summary

Valley Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a dependable Patient Transporter to support safe patient movement, equipment readiness, and a positive patient experience within the Transport team. You will transport patients between units and diagnostic areas, assist with transfers and mobility, and help with equipment and deliveries.

Strong customer service and safety focus are essential. Required are a high school diploma or equivalent and AHA BLS certification; ability to obtain a LA City Fire Card

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely between units and to diagnostic areas (Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, GI Lab).
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility across patient populations.
• Escort patients upon discharge as needed.
• Support transport of equipment and deliveries.
• Maintain and clean transport equipment (gurneys, wheelchairs, bassinets, cribs).
• Monitor oxygen tanks and equipment readiness.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and departments.
• Respond promptly to pages and transport requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Support departmental goals, productivity, and service excellence.

We're seeking a dependable and service-oriented Patient Transporter to support patient movement, equipment readiness, and a positive patient experience.

What You'll Do

• Transport patients safely between units and to diagnostic areas (Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, GI Lab, etc.)
