Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting and supporting all departments by transporting patients to and from units/departments using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.

Responsibilities
  1. Transport patients to and from departments/units, ensuring proper patient identification, comfort, and safety. Assist in lifting, moving, and positioning patients as needed, and provide relevant patient information.
  2. Care for and clean wheelchairs and stretchers; initiate repairs when necessary. Check oxygen supplies, replenish, and change regulators as needed.
  3. Coordinate with other transporters based on patient schedules to ensure smooth transport operations; communicate patient information to nurses and diagnostic departments as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and have strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle potentially stressful situations and multitask effectively.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
Education and Certifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR certification preferred.
