Responsibilities

The Transporter is responsible for the safe and timely transfer and transport of patients, equipment, and other materials throughout the health center. The Transporter interacts with staff from various departments, physicians, patients, and visitors to provide excellent care and customer service, supporting the mission and values of Providence Medical Center. This position reports to the Transportation Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

• Must have BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
• Ability to walk to perform basic transportation duties.
• Experience escorting patients by wheelchair or cart is preferred.
