Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting and supporting all departments by transporting patients to and from units/departments using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.

Responsibilities

1. Transport patients to and from departments/units, ensuring proper patient identification, comfort, and safety, including assisting in lifting, moving, and positioning.
2. Care for and clean wheelchairs and stretchers, and initiate repairs or maintenance as needed, including checking oxygen supplies and regulators.
3. Coordinate with other transporters based on patient schedules to ensure smooth operations; communicate patient information to relevant departments.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and multi-task effectively.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Education & Certifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification preferred.
