Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Plainview is seeking a Mental Health Worker/Driver to transport patients to and from residences and appointments and to assist staff with patient care activities. The role supports meal provision, chart production, and answering phones while supervising patients during staff breaks.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, a clean Motor Vehicle License, 1–2 years of patient transport in a 10–12 passenger van, TB testing, and CPR/Behavioral Management Training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Current Motor Vehicle License with clean MVR.
• 1–2 years' experience transporting patients in a 10–12 passenger van.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• TB test documentation at orientation and annually thereafter.
• CPR and Behavioral Management Training required.
• Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from facility and residences/appointments.
• Assist staff with patient care activities and chart production.
• Provide meals and supervise patients during staff breaks.
• Answer telephones and support daily operations.
• Communicate any problematic or clinical issues to staff during supervision/transport.
