Overview:

Transports patients and equipment within the Medical Center. Performs various patient-related activities as assigned. Trains new co-workers on all aspects of the Transport process. Ensures patient safety during transport and proper body mechanics. Maintains PAR levels for equipment across Mercy. Wears PPE as required. Collaborates effectively with team members across departments. Uses Epic software to track patient and equipment movement and trains new co-workers on its use. Performs duties consistent with our mission, values, and standards. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: At least one year of transporting experience and two years of customer service experience.
  • Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED).
  • Other: Physical demands include minimal lifting (<100#), carrying (<12 lbs), pushing (<44 lbs), pulling (<42 lbs), crouching, hand coordination, gripping, pinching, data entry, occasional pulling (<30#), and continuous pushing (up to 30 lbs).
