Job Summary

Summary: Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and related items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations of patient transporters and report performance issues.
• Train new and current staff; maintain personnel records.
• Assess work requirements; optimize staff utilization.
• Transport patients across all age groups safely and efficiently, bringing necessary equipment.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and dispatch.
• Ensure patient comfort and privacy; avoid transporting patients in severe pain.
• Report patient distress or equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition.
• Follow all regulatory standards, including HIPAA, JCAHO, federal, and state laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
