Job summary

Providence Mission Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter - Integrated Services to join a team that moves pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients between patient rooms, diagnostics areas, surgery and admitting.

Under general supervision, you will communicate with the dispatcher via two‑way radio, document transport activity, and maintain cleanliness and order of transport equipment such as gurneys and wheelchairs.

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association is required.
• Experience in a related healthcare field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients between rooms, diagnostics areas, surgery, and admitting.
• Maintain communication with the dispatcher via two-way radio and receive transport requests.
• Document transport activities accurately and maintain cleanliness and order of transport equipment such as gurneys and wheelchairs.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during transfers and assist with positioning as needed.

Job Description

Under general supervision, works with a team transporting pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, to and from various areas of the Hospital to include patient rooms, diagnostics areas, surgery and admitting. Maintains communication via with the dispatcher via two-way radio, to receive transport and other requests. Documents transport activities and maintains cleanliness and order of various transportation related equipment such as gurneys and wheelchairs.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
