Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Transport Specialist to move patients, visitors and assets safely across facilities. You will provide guest transport, orientation, and coordination with staff while using our care-focused processes.

You will operate equipment, adapt to urgent situations, complete training, and adhere to Advocate Health policies to ensure a safe, clean environment for patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in guest services or hospitality is desirable.
• BLS certification within 6 months; patient transport roles value safety training.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, visitors, and staff safely between departments and rooms.
• Provide patient orientation and assist with transfers, admissions, escorts, and equipment transport.
• Coordinate with staff to guide individuals to designated areas within facilities.
• Inspect and maintain transport equipment, ensuring it's clean and ready for use.
• Adhere to Advocate Health policies and participate in required training and meetings.
