Saint Luke's Health System is seeking a Service Associate (Patient Transporter) in Missouri. You will move patients by wheelchair or cart, follow infection prevention practices, and ensure safe routes and handling of tubes and lines. Strong communication with nursing staff is essential and you will relocate valuables and equipment as needed.

The role is full-time with evening shifts (M-F, roughly 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM).

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross

Job Description

Through manual or computerized job assignments the Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter who will move patients by wheelchair or cart throughout the hospital for various reasons. The Service Associate will utilize infection prevention techniques patient transfer techniques and knowledge of appropriate routes to assure patients are safely and efficiently moved. Good communication with the nursing clinical staff is required. The Service Associate will recognize when they need to ask for help or continued guidance. Maintain an protect the integrity of patient s tubes lines and collection devices. Will also move patient valuables and equipment.

Shifts - M-F, 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM
