Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Transporter to move patients throughout the facility safely, ensuring quality patient care across neonatal to geriatric patients. The role emphasizes teamwork and a strong commitment to patient comfort during transfers.

Responsibilities include transporting patients via ambulation, wheelchair, or stretcher, maintaining lines and IV equipment, and assisting with radiographic prerequisites.

Qualifications

• One-year patient care experience is preferred.
• One-year patient transporter experience is preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by ambulation, wheelchair, or stretcher as directed and based on patient condition.
• Maintain IV tubing and Foley catheter in a safe position during transport.
• Inventory all transportation equipment at the end of each shift.
• Instruct and assist patients with proper gown or apparel for radiographic procedures.
• Move patient support devices such as IVAC pumps, oxygen, etc., and maintain lines and leads attached to the patient.
• Work as a team player and meet the needs of the transport team.
